Except here, it seems. The virus appears not to like sunlight, fresh air and open spaces that people can enjoy while still keeping their distance.
Children seem to be the least affected by the virus, perhaps because they have better immune systems.
So the government has closed down the park at the top of my street, and as a consequence, the fair there, with its Ferris wheel, ghost train and various train rides.
And closed down a small part of childhood as well.
