The Kyrgyz authorities devote a lot of time and energy to stamping out the problem of corruption, of people offering bribes and backhanders for everything from traffic fines to acquiring building permits.
Even so, I was a little surprised when I went to pay the annual property tax on my apartment to see this sticker on the door to the Tax Office.
I’m sure it works.
