Three officers of the Service for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking were detained in Bishkek, after being found with 3 kilos of gold worth $190,000, as well as several grams of heroin. They were due to hand over the gold as material evidence for safekeeping, but kept it instead.
Among the detainees are a former employee of the Internal Investigation Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as the head of the city department of the SBNON.
