I admit to a weakness for location in the books I read: it’s one of the reasons I’ve set my books in Kyrgyzstan.
Mike Nicol’s ‘Revenge Trilogy’ manages to perfectly evoke Cape Town in all its many moods; beautiful, dangerous, elegant and squalid.
With this as a dramatic backdrop, the trilogy features Mace Bishop and Pylon Buso, ex-freedom fighters, arms dealers, and spies, now providing protection for VIP’s and the well-to-do visiting Cape Town.
The books are not as well known as they deserve, but I recommend them to anyone who likes their crime fiction brutal, bloody and unremitting.
Enjoy, or as they say in Afrikaans, ‘Geniet!’
Brital, eh?
By the way the insistence on an url below is really tedious ; can you disable it for all those, like me, don’t have one?
