Last night was quiet, and it’s reassuring to see the true nature of the Kyrgyz people at work.
Volunteers organised a massive cleanup of Ala-Too Square, collecting tons of rubbish after Monday night’s demonstration.
Citizens formed народные дружины (people patrols) to deter looting and unrest, and help keep the streets safe.
I hope that the people who want peace and prosperity for the country they love prevail.
