Officers of the State Committee for National Security, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, detained two citizens of Kyrgyzstan engaged in robberies to finance the terrorist underground.

On the morning of October 19, they attacked a businessman and stole 400,000 soms ($5,000).

During the arrest, stolen money, counterfeit foreign currency, a stun gun and piercing-cutting objects were seized.

The detainees are suspected of taking part in the activities of illegal armed groups in Syria.

“At the direction of their leaders, they arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic to organize robberies in order to provide financial support for international terrorist groups,” the State Committee for National Security explained.
